If you can't build a system that can stay cool closed, start over.

Agreed. 🙂

Mine goes up about 4C if I leave the case open. It also goes up 1-2C if I cover the blowhole.

Leaving any computer open is a bad idea. Some little kid or a nosy cat might just pull on a drive cable while you are running and then say goodbye to your computer.

Buy a case that has better cooling, not one that looks radded out. The Lights and whistles dont make it run better.

don't care about temps.
for some reason people are on this temperature kick... what difference does it make if everything runs fine!?

hehe..

That XP-90 keeps those temp. issues out of mind, and out of sight.

How's that working for you? My computer is way too loud for my tastes.

It's not a fixall, but dampening material helps. Much better to kill the noise at its source.

Post up your specs (in a separate thread, maybe, to avoid jacking this one) and we'll pick apart the noisemakers. 😀

I have 1 Rig that the side is always off so I can test and experimant with... another one has the Case closed esp in the Summer time so I can run the Central Air duct through 😉

The rest are on and off 😛
