Viruses spread by the Internet

Viruses spread by the Internet

I read that investigators found the virus on one of the man's keyboard. Is it possible that the Anthrax virus was spread by an infected email or some other program?

I'm constantly getting warnings about deadly viruses. Last one I contracted wiped out my entire hard disk. But I've never heard of anyone dying from a virus. A friend of mine said something called Norton helps get rid of viruses. Does anyone know if this program will kill the Anthrax virus?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

i laugh.

it's so stupid that I wanna say that it's just a well-played joke... but he really sounds like he's worried. 🙂😀

<< Norton will help with the Anthrax virus, just apply it to the infected areas 3 times daily.

Wait a minute.....Bah hahahahahahaha

F*ck is this guy for real?
Hey does this mean I got crabs off the net instead of my GF?

You just rub the Norton CD on the areas of your body that you think look Anthraxy. If you think you have breathed it in you have to breath through the box that it came in, or if you threw away the box see if you still have your store bag that it came in and breath in and out of that. That should fix all your virus problems. Of course if the virus corupted anything you might need the patch.

Laugh if you want, but I'm taking this threat seriously. People have been known to contract serious viruses from their computers before.

A friend of my sister contracted something called carpal tunnel. It infected her hands, so dehibilitating her that she couldn't move her fingers at all! She had a cast on both hands (I saw them myself, so I KNOW this is true).

I asked her what happened and she said she got it from her computer. I asked if there were any anti-virus programs that would prevent me from getting the disease, she said no but I should be careful about type of keyboard I use (apparently the carpal tunnel virus is very selective about this).

I use the one that came with my computer (a Compaq) and she said I should check out Ergonomic ones. (I've never heard of that company; I'm still looking for them on the Internet).

Anyway, so if Anthrax was found on someone's keyboard I think people should be very careful about emails and attachments they open up. If you get something from a stranger, don't open it!!! And even if you get something from a friend, a worm might have sent it.

At this point i think he's joking

This is sad, but it means we as geeks aren't doing our job. As opposed to making disspelling rumor and fighting technological ignorance, we laugh at the guy and don't try to help him.

As dumb as it sounds, the guy probably heard the term virus and associated it with the kind he learned about in high school biology. It makes sense to someone clueless.

But yes, this is pretty damn funny. And remember: there are more like him out there -- we need to stop their ignorance!
