Do you know why so many games are made in Quebec?

Well the weather would be MUCH nicer in Austin I'd imagine. I live in Winnipeg and we are even colder then Moscow :( If I could I'd move to california.

Grew up in Thunder Bay, I feel your pain... (although at least we aren't underwater every other spring)

And still a lot of companies prefer Austin.
Quebec must suck.

From the article:
"Last year, Quebec spent $100 million on the program, up from $83 million in 2009 and significantly more than some U.S. states with similar programs such as Texas and Louisiana."

So it seems Austin gives them tax credits too, just not quite as big. And the winter in Montreal is much nicer than in places like Thunder Bay and Winnepeg. Anyway, after British Columbia, Montreal or Calgary would be my first choices of places to move in Canada.

One more reason why we should have let them seperate when they wanted to. We should kick them out of the country anyways.

Huh, just a matter of incentives, they "won", good job I guess. If video game development companies established in the U.S.A want to keep their employees or create more jobs they just need to compete with those incentives, maybe they already do, in fact they surely do, but apparently they fail. It's just business as usual, things come and go, people move and go where the money/opportunities/professional challenges are, etc., TBH I don't see the necessity of even speaking about it but anyway, gives some meat around the headlines bone.

Canada also benefits from the single payer healthcare. Companies like not having that expense.

Quebec is a great province with over 8,000,000 people and it feels like Europe when you're there. I love Montreal. I think it's the best city in Canada to live.
