Do you know of people (e.g., married couples) that share an email address?

My wife and I share our primary home email. I have a couple gmails for work.

We also share one checkbook, one savings account, and the same bed 😀

My wife does. She's not so computer literate, and even though I cut her off when we upgraded to XP and I coul tie an MSN account to her XP login, she still checks mine occasionally.

Here's the thing:
It doesn't really bother me. I don't have anything that's private from my wife and I can't understand why anyone would. It seems like a lot of effort to maintain a distance that I would rather eliminate in my marriage.

It's more common for couples to have their own accounts, and share their passwords.

It's not about privacy. I would rather not have to sift through all the gossipy crap and forwarded x1000 chain letters from her friends that infect her account. Just as I'm sure she doesn't want to read about the latest deals on sound cards from newegg.

Most couples I know (including my sister and her husband) have "separate" accounts but check each other's personal accounts interchangeably. Work stuff stays pretty separate I think.
