Do you know anyone who has/had cervical cancer?

Don't tell us *you* have it??

But, fwiw, a friend of my ex had it but they caught it very early and she's doing ok. At least the last I knew a few years ago.

My wifes friend I think (she had a form of cancer, caught early, not sure if it was cervical). I might be mistaking it w/ something else, what she had was solved (for now) by surgery (removing her reproductive organs). Since then she's been healthy.

a friend of mine had it, but i actually didn't know about it until 2 years into the friendship. she's doing great now, though.

My wife had cervical cancer when she was in her early 20's. Surgery removed it and healthy since!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer more than 40 years ago, I talked to her on the phone on her 63rd birthday day before yesterday 🙂

I have known a couple, they all didn't have long term effects that I know of although reduced chance of pregnancy may have been one.

I know quite a few that have HPV and that's why all women should have their yearly's without falter esp if sexually active.

I also know one that has the type that can lead to cancer and just had a healthy baby a few months ago. Originally she was worried she'd never get pregnant.

yeah my mother had it. in fact she was advised to abort me at the time. she refused and well the rest is history!

but seh nearly died from it. needless to say she had everything scooped out not long after i was born.

unfortunately, yes but as it is with most cancers, the determining factor in their survival had alot to do with when they were diagnosed. My mother in law unfortunately succumbed to the disease but one of my aunts survived after 2 years of treatment for it.

my father and his twin were both diagnosed with Prostate cancer, my Father passed away but not from the cancer, My uncle (well into his seventies) is doing well because they caught it early.

my brother was diagnosed with lymphoma when he was 16. Today he is celebrating his 40th birthday.

I don't personally, but there are bound to be lots of support groups out there for people diagnosed with it. Did someone you know get disgnosed?

I knew someone that had it. Miracously, she and her husband had 3 more babies, one very recently. They were told they could never have children again.
