Do you keep a to do list?

Lots more project-like work coming my way and I really can't get a dry erase board in my workstation. This brings up a good question: I was wondering if any of you had sophisticated (or otherwise very simple) way of handling a personal to-do list? Or hey, do you prefer a crap load of sticky notes?

My "to do" list is on an 11"x17" engineering tablet. It usually stays full. I prefer this over using programs on my computer.

I use the computer Post-it notes to keep a list of to do, important dates and test/quizzes that are coming up. Helps me remember because I'm always on my computer.

Yeah I've been taking this route. It seems to get the job done. Ive always been interseted in how others have handled simple tasks like this, so I love finding little freeware or trial versions of software that do these jobs just to see whats out there. You can find some neat stuff.

Caveman I'm scared to death of Outlook's Notes function. I do computer support for a very stubborn financial firm in Boston and there is a dude there that calls in literally every other day to complain about how slow our "systems" are (his blackberry, his outlook, our outlook web access) and we finally found that he has more than 3000 notes that are simple things like "call for dog" and "meet with Travis" but he refuses to delete them. Its as if notes made back in 2005 will be needed for very important reasons. I'm scared I might turn into him and do this.

I use the task list on my Smartphone (T-Mobile Dash). I always have it with me and it's easy enough to enter new tasks. If I always had to write something down I'd likely forget since I don't keep a notepad with me at all times.

I've always kept to-do lists. My last couple years of college, I started using a dry-erase board, and then I bought a Palm TX. I eventually sold the Palm TX and now I use my Blackberry. I keep track of tasks daily. I usually dont have work-related tasks in there, unless it's something important; it's usually perosnal stuff. I do need a dry-erase board in my cube though.

Oh yea, if I wasnt such a gadget whore, I would definetly be using this.

I keep a pretty complicated excel spreadsheet with everything in it. Finances, to do list, stuff in the mail, long term and short term goals, grades, stuff to do for work, stuff to do around the house, and a calendar with tons of dates. I keep it on my thumb drive and I usually always have that with me.
