Do you have to have an updated drivers license for CC apps?

I was all set to get an extra 25% off at Meijer and pick up an Xbox 360 premium for $252 after tax on a Meijer CC when they told me they can't accept my app because my address isn't up to date on my drivers license.

I recently moved and never got the thing updated. Never had any problems in the past applying for credit with different addresses than were listed on my drivers license.

I guess I can understand the point but its so damned aggrivating. I mean, for cripessakes, I can apply for a card online with no proof of photo ID.

alot of places even require 2 forms ID, I work for a cell phone provider and we are required to verify 2 forms of ID, and we must use the adress on the drivers licence unless they have a 2nd proof of ID form.

I fail to see why updating one's own driver's license is not the first priority after moving. That bothers me a TON. People come into my office, and are unable to prove their identity because their ID/DL is out of date, frequently.
