I just started to use headphones. The main reason for using headphones is to listen to music and watch TV late at night. Because it is late at night so I'm not wearing contact lenses.

Here comes the problem, I was wearing the headphones for like 20 minutes, my ears starting to get a little pain due to the glasses frame. Do you guys have the same problem and what's your solutions? Is there any headphones good for people wearing glasses?

edit: added a 'S'. hehe...

it depends on what headphones you use and for how long you wear them. I have some nice headphones now that are easy to adjust so that it doesnt hurt anymore.

There are a number of "open-air" headphones available, where the ears are soft foam (that is open, you can hear everything around you). They sound better than closed too, unless you get good (expensive) closed (the reverbs inside the closed pads are hard to design out).

Sennheisers are known for their comfortable fit. I have worn mine for 20 hours straight, with glasses, with no problem.

earbuds work great if you're just sitting; they have a tendancy to wiggle out of your ear even if you're just walking. I picked up a pair of Sony MDR-W14 today, they're light and comfy.

Btw, what are you watching "late at night" that you don't want others to know about...? ;)

I'm with you there! If we're talking about "Street style" sonys, those things hut like a MOFO! They actually put their OWN little thing over/behind your ear as well as clamping down on the ear, thus creating this same problem WITHOUT having to wear glasses! I like mine well enough, but damn. Don't call them comfortable.

Most of the open air headphones I'm familiar with start out at $60. At that price I would recommend Grado SR-60. I think Sony has some cheaper ones, but I've never tried them. I had a similar problem with sunglasses in my motorcycle hemet until I got a pair of Eye-ride sunglasses.
