In my youth, dark brown with hints of "auburn."

Nowadays, all that reddish hair has turned gray...along with most of the dark brown.

BTW, I found my first gray hairs at 17. By the time I was in my mid-20's, I had a fairly defined silver stripe...running almost perfectly front/back at the center of my head...My wife said that "skunk stripe" matched my personality. 😛

Yeah, I have the red beard with light brown hair everywhere else. I'm something like ~10% Scottish and its all in the beard area.

ive got all sorts of different brown colored hairs on my head, a few red and white thrown into the mix as well. my 'beard' is half dark/light, so even if it is thick it looks sparse. i have actually found beard hairs that switched from dark to light back to dark again. like a zebra.

when my beard gets on the longer side, I sometimes notice a few reddish hairs. very few though, maybe 2 or 3, on my chin.
