I have nearly identical sized ring and index fingers when tape measuring from the tip to the joint. Depending on how I position my hand then it can look like I have a very large index finger or a very large ring finger.

Since you mentioned it, I check mine and they measure the same too even though my ring finger looks way longer.

Apparently my features indicate that I do. Any of you guys need me to impregnate your wife?

i guess this might mean that testosterone effects how much apoptosis (programmed cell death) occurs during finger development (which would effect how much webbing [-> digit length] is found between the fingers), since they measure digit ratio instead of actual finger bone ratio.

Lean - check
Acne - no, the occasional pimple as a greezy teen
Receding Hairline - check
Index finger small than ring - check
Facial hair - check, but took a while to fully grow in
Body hair - check, not excessive but increases a little each year
Level of T - probably higher than others, but it's been higher.

there has been no correlation between the sex hormone levels of an adult and the individual’s 2D:4D[4], which implies that it is strictly the exposure in utero that causes this phenomenon

lol on my left hand, my ring finger is substantially longer. On my right hand, they're about the same length.

I never noticed my hands were so asymmetric till now.

Yup on all the physical stuff, though not on the behavioral stuff. I can control myself.

Interesting that the author realizes a distinction between action based activities and verbalization.

"""In her book "The Well-Dressed Ape," Hannah Holmes contends that you may have high testosterone levels circulating in your body if your ring finger is longer than your index finger. Other factors which may signify high testosterone in your blood include a receding hair line, heavy growth of facial and body hair, acne, a lean physique and high cheekbones with a low brow ridge. In the September 2002 Men's Health, Laurence Gonzales notes that men with high testosterone levels tend to smile infrequently and talk less, suggesting they prefer action-oriented pursuits over those requiring verbalization."""

The part that gets me is where the author says men with LONGER ring fingers than index fingers are a sign of men with high testosterone.

Guess what? My ring finger is longer than my index finger. Haha!

Anyone else have the same?

This kind of research is only interesting when multiple ethnic background and family features and diseases that influence hormones levels during pregnancy and again during puberty have been eliminated.

For example :
I do not see any other mention of the square jaw bone or chin ?
Which is also useless.

My ring finger is shorter then my index finger.
Yet i have a lean build with a small waist, my chest and shoulders (bone structure) are naturally wide but augmented by sporting. My hands and fingers are not long but thick and solid. A long big skull. I like cold ambient temperatures while all day sun the sun is present. I do not like high humidity and high temperatures (Respiratory system). I do not like to talk. Although i do can socially talk. I am passive by nature unless provoked, although i like to keep track of my environment searching for changes and i like non social situations that are like puzzles. And i had acne. But no loosing of the hair. And naturally present big but clean pores in my skin.

Yay. I am a human male and have active Neanderthaler genes ? :)

The 4th finger to index finger digit ratio is merely an indicator of prenatal testosterone exposure and has nothing to do with your current testosterone levels.

The studies shows that if you're a guy, and your index finger is longer than your ring finger, you're most likely GHEY.

Why is having more testosterone a good thing?

It's the ultimate male enhancer. It makes you more masculine for one. It enhances memory, it makes you more competitive, testosterone levels are highly correlated with income levels and social status.

Studies also show that winners get a testosterone spike that makes them more impulsive in engaging in whatever competition the next time. This effect can be blocked by introducing a testosterone inhibitor, and thus demonstrating a causal basis for the aforementioned behavior.

most likely perhaps. But certainly not definitely.

When i look at a picture of a young naked woman, i feel my body getting aroused and my mind fills up with mental images with her enjoying me while doing the horizontal salsa(If i let it get that far, that is...). Of course if she has that special feminine magic.
For example : Strangely enough although i do not desire her, i still find Serene Williams very feminine besides her muscled build.

Unfortunately deceased, but still a prime example of beauty according to myself :

I do not get turned on at all on by women of the "butch" type in build and behavior.
Also feminine males in behavior or build such as the singer of Tokio hotel make me feel awkward.

When i look at a picture of a young naked man, i feel a strong sensation
of disgust and the typical male (all reptile brain) characteristic to see if i am physically dominant in a fight.
Consciously, i feel anger rise and muscle tension increase as does my breathing alter.
Feel free to test it out if any of you experience the same.
Now i am curious.

P.S. The picture is of a dutch actress.
