Do you have freedom fries?

So I hear the US has freedom fries instead of french fries now... haha is this true?

Yes, McDonalds, BK and Wendy's have changed the meny. Know they call it "Freedom Fries". The advertisement for getting a super size freedom fries say "Bigger the size, more the freedom". Also, Folger's and Starbucks renamed their French Roast coffee to Freedom roast. A french restaurant called "The French Market" changes it's name to "Sissy Bakery"

Yes, I always replace the word "french" with "freedom" because I'm patriotic.

And the whole thing is inane.. French Fries were invented in Belgium and "French fries" are called that because of the way they are made (frenched [chopped into narrow, lengthy pieces] fried potatoes).. Nothing to do with france! the whole "freedom fries" thing makes us americans just seem ignorant.. Also, if you're using FREEDOM as a replacement for the word FRENCH aren't you implying that FREEDOM is synonymous with FRENCH?
