I was talking to a guy at work and we saw what looked like a dragon fly, and he was like what the hell is that?

He said he had never seen a dragonfly in Ohio (where he moved from, here to Arizona).

I can't believe that someone would have never seen a living, real dragonfly before.

See 'em all the time here in central Kentucky, I wonder why they aren't in Ohio.

I lived in Ohio and they're up there, not as much as in NY or Texas though (born in NY, currently living in TX).

I grew up in Detroit, and I remember seeing them all the time.

Of course, dragonflies are known to be rather intelligent. And like every other intelligent creature, they stay away from Ohio. :p

Got them here in NY too. They like to sit out on my clothesline and sunbathe. They are pretty smart too. One of the few bugs that i'm not afraid of.

I moved from PA to AZ, and I've never seen more or bigger bugs than out here. The other day I almost screamed like a girl when I saw this rhinoceros beetle or some damn thing. It had like horns and tentacles and teeth...ew.

Yep, and ever had on land on you and after a while it grips onto you with the pinchers on its tail, that hurts, it happened to my friend while we were floating down the river. I didn't believe him, then it happened to me, it was weird I had never seen them do it before.

I've lived here since 1996, and I like it except that I miss the rain and having more than 2 seasons(warm and hot).

Yes, we have them. For some reason, though, they love to land on me. Then they go catatonic. I pry them off, stick them on a tree branch or something, then they will still be there days later (Dead by that time, I am guessing). No idea why they like me so much. One time I walked into the mess hall at camp years ago and had four or five stuck to my back.
