Although I realize that one can respect someone else, even if they disagree with them, it's kind of hard to respect Keynes when he had all the resources one could have to be productive in a better way, yet he came up with flawed theories, and wanted to impose them on the world.

I think the his background made what he did inappropriate. I also believe he was an elitist and tool of the plutocrats, rather than out for the common good.

There are people like Henry Hazlitt who came from nothing and did a lot more good than Keynes and never got as much credit as he deserved, unlike Keynes who is worshipped by some economists.

All that said, I do not have any respect for him.

in a nutshell..

The world you live in has everything to do with Keynes and nothing to do with Hazlitt.

Like I said, Keynesian economic policies, since the first human tribe used pooled resources to enable specialized occupations and more than one person worked together to accomplish something neither could do alone, have led to the current prosperity of humankind, worldwide.

On the side, is just a lot of talk.

Well said. It's a bit exaggerated, but that's ok in light of the nonsense OP.

You're giving Keynes credit for a bit too much here, you think?

There was a brief period in the USA where we were basically following Hayek, and incomes gradually increased while prices gradually fell.

You all better hope and pray Hayek was wrong, because if he was right, we're gonna be in a whole mess of trouble.
