Although I realize that one can respect someone else, even if they disagree with them, it's kind of hard to respect Keynes when he had all the resources one could have to be productive in a better way, yet he came up with flawed theories, and wanted to impose them on the world.
I think the his background made what he did inappropriate. I also believe he was an elitist and tool of the plutocrats, rather than out for the common good.
There are people like Henry Hazlitt who came from nothing and did a lot more good than Keynes and never got as much credit as he deserved, unlike Keynes who is worshipped by some economists.
All that said, I do not have any respect for him.
