What are your problems with the war?

here is mine:

It was a lie.
It was based on lies.
God Lies (I guess since bush is doing Gods work)

Maybee America would have liked to have gone to war if they said hey this Saddam dude is a piece of crap lets get him out.

Im guessing most would not have.

but hey at least that would have been honest.

Instead of saying hey we can make trillions here lets go bomb these mothersuckers and galvanize a Nationlist Country

I know you are new here, welcome. Tell us a little about yourself.
You will find this has been discussed a lot here and the majority of the people here are against the war.

Theres a plenty to be talked about in the war, but it doesn't need another thread, theres lots of threads about varying aspects of the operation.

^^^ Haliburton CEO? Is that you? :Q

I am all about this, but people dont get the picture. Ill break it down:
Chaney and Bush get on the ticket.

Haliburton moves Chaney to the ticket so they can get rich (with the help of all the media stations and big corporations) and go to Iraq. Was talked about. Concluded America needed another "Pearl Harbor" before they allowed it.

Towers fell Thousands died because Bin Laden says christian soldier is a threat to his religion and sacred ground. They got their "Pearl Harbor". Best thing happend to Chaney/Bush

9 days later wesley clark is sitting in the pentagon talking to 5 star generals. they tell him a joke: 9-11 and saddam. They say "we dont even know if this is legal" clark says "that is not funny" ---> They agree.

Our rights need to be taken away to protect us.

We go after Bin Laden for bringing down the Towers.

We catch Bin Laden.

We send in Trained Special Forces to apprehend / kill Bin Laden (NOT! - more like the drug war lords who are shipping us Heroin.)

He gets away (Imagine that) Big Bad Wolf still out there.

Iraq is developing neuclear weapons (forged by man bush is advancing in power)

Iraq is imminent threat helping terrorists and giving away biological weapons.

America in imminent danger Colin Powell "we have INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE" hahhaahha

We have a plan to win the peace! -bush hahhahahha

We have saddam! WAR IS OVER!!!

The world is safer now that we invaded iraq! (-bush)

That all implies lots of stuff. Nah Lets not get upset about this. Little brother, Go over there fight the good fight god is with you! Your doing Gods work. Level that village... Make them vote and control there elections. Give em democracy (after throwing the election)

WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??

HOW ABOUT YOUR GOOD MORAL CHRISTIAN LEADER?

WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??

I guess you feel it that it's a morally superior choice to allow genocidal dictators to remain in power and kill with impunity. So in your world, what would someone need to do in order to make it morally correct (if ever) to take military action against them? Did for example Saddam's gassing a Kurdish village not meet your magical threshhold for what number of deaths are required before inaction stops being virtuous and becomes cowardice? Was it morally correct that we stood by and did nothing while Pot Pot went about his killing fields or hundreds of thousands of Tutsis got hacked up by Hutus?

YOUR NOT GETTING THE PICTURE>

Dictator Kill With impunity.... Yeah i think that is bad and that is why I DONT LIKE BUSH

This guy seems to have a much larger temper...maybe even more close minded...and far less eligant with his words. Even it we are *closer* in principle, i'd rather reason with rip than this idiot arguing my side 😛

True.... but I'm hoping that when he meets with his counterpart, there will be something like an anti-matter explosion and both will disappear. 😛

It's being faught politically, instead of with devastating brute force like World War II was. We didn't play around with Japan - we went in and nuked two of their cities. Unfortunately, we are going door-to-door in places like Fallujah where are boys are being shot up. I would like to see our troops be pulled out of those cities, then we smash them and everyone left inside to the ground.

Other than that, I support the war. I've made money off of defense and oil stocks so I can't complain.

Feh, like anyone on the right gave a rats ass about saddam until he was a needed as a excuse for bushcos fvckup. I don't think they realize how transparent this whole thing is to someone with a shred of critical thinking. It's like a football game rah rah go team go. Every penalty flag thrown is unfair to their home team.

It's about time to ignore the bush fanbois and their media and concentrate on the strengths of the left and how to get the fighting spirit back from the moderates in bed with the GOP.

😕 Rip is a very well known person on P&N. And what's this 'calling him out' mean?

I'm aware of that. It's been known to be bannable if you call someone out on a thread. Well, some people get banned for it.

So mentioning someone's name is a bannable offense? So if let's say you made a thread about the Iraqi war, I can't mention your name in another thread that involved the Iraqi war as a reference?

Well, I'm not privy to all the rules. But generally, when put into a negative context, there seem to be some repercussions. Sometimes.
