i dont have one, have you tried upping the refresh rate of the monitor?
if you are at 60 hz, you need to raise it. it will make it easier on the eyes.

Thanks, gistech1978. How would I go about doing that?

You're posting on a tech forum and you don't know how to change your refresh rate!? *Snicker*
;)

OT doesn't count. I doubt you see her browsing the CPU forum.

I'm pretty much HD, OT, and occasionally PN. Wandered into a few of the other places for help w/coding, etc. a few times, but nothing too regular.

At least you don't have to work construction or suck dicks.

You'd rather do those than work at, say, WalMart??

:confused:
Come on... You know you can make way more money sucking dicks.

You'd think that someone posting on a forum even branched off from a tech website would have that sort of basic knowledge...but I digress. ;)

That brings up an interesting point...how do non-tech people end up stumbling upon these forums? And what % of ATOTers are techies?

I run my CRT at 85 Hz refresh. I'm at the computer all day and I'm fine. Anything less than 85 Hz does give me eyestrain though. And no, I don't use a glare screen.

I do have an LCD I use as the second monitor but I don't like the difference when I look from monitor to monitor. I'm still not sold on LCDs so I'm thinking of giving that to the wife and get another CRT. The one thing I like about the LCD though is that it hardly puts out any heat, whereas the CRT puts out a lot.

My daddy is a tech person, all my friends are tech people, and I design webpages (both Dreamweaver and hand-code). Does that count? :D

Sure, it counts...but you should still know how to change the refresh rate, techie. ;)

design != tech;

but if you know what that means, then I guess that counts. :D
