Do you have a desirable email address? Would you sell it?

I just put this up...

inboxlist.com

I work with a guy that has 'aaron AT hotmail.com'. After thinking about it, it seems like someone might be willing to throw down $20 for their ideal email address.

What do you think?

this idea has some merit, but I think most people can get an OK email w/o it...

I don't think too many people want an @tylerkaraszewski.com email address besides me.

No
I do own a domain name, which pays me royalties from a national fast food chain, however. :)

heck no. i've been using mine forever. it's just my name, but if anyone else wants it, you're out of luck. i've had this thing since 1996!

i did have an offer for my domain, and he wouldn't discuss money. he just asked for it. i would only sell that if it's enough for a new car.

Sure it works!

I understand the things about spamming. With the new anti spam/phishing strategies being tossed around, it won't be an issue forever.

Having an email since 1996 is sweet. I've had my hotmail since '98. Granted, it's not that illustrious because I have an odd last name, but still.

yep. for reasons I won't disclose, I can't reveal what they are. Suffice it to say I get unsolicited offers to purchase at least one of them about once a week

Hmm... an interesting point brought up by GTaudiophile...

The intent is that people won't post emails with explicit names, but I guess that's the reality of the interweb.

Should posts be evaluated for obsenity before being published? Or is <yourFavoriteCurse>@hotmail.com potentially worth a lot of money to someone?

i waited almost five years for an @comcast.net address and was thrilled when i got it. but it gets spammed a lot.
