Do you have a custom image on your Credit Card? I do.

Over the years Capital One has solicited my input with regard to its custom card image program. They have declined all my submissions for one stupid reason or another going back to 2009.

Finally, they accepted my last one:

Can you tell me what's the story behind the sunglasses-wearing cat? It seems every custom profile image has a story to tell.

There is / was a member called Aircooled and he had a beautiful white cat that was frequently photoshopped into many other images. I forgot who designed the original image but it goes back to 2003 or so. It came from a gif file that I lost in a hard drive crash back in 2009.

I think he was AT's unofficial mascot until his untimely passing several years ago. I miss that cat. :'(

Those were the good ol' days.

edit: The cat was named Kayla - http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2025945&highlight=aircooled+cat

Nope, discover doesn't allow it. Did the next best thing and chose the cassette design, which has gotten far more comments than I ever expected.

Yea have one on my Cap1 card, although I never use it anymore. Don't even carry it in my wallet. Other cards have better rewards.

Used to have a pic of that lightning that zig-zaged slow-mo everywhere before touching down and doing the big zap...

I've since updated it, take a guess whats on my card now.

You want a card that makes them look at you funny or take a step back.

If I had a camera and knew how to photoshop out the numbers etc I might contemplate posting my card...but I don't so I won't.

I keep submitting images for my WF card, but they always come back "rejected due to copyright" even on my own, copyrighted images.

To be fair, I'd still recommend blacking it out and then taking a screenshot of it and working off that after Cat Schwartz's troubles way back when :p
