Do you have a college class ring?

Yes, despite 90% of the people on ATOT telling me it would be a waste of money that ill stop wearing in less then a year.

No. I consider them gaudy and out-of-date. The fact that they can be highly customized and available from multiple makers actually ruins it for me. If rings were more standardized and "official", like a college yearbook, I would value them more. Instead it's just another Product "to buy".
 
I wore my high school ring maybe twice. No way would I have wasted my money on a college ring. I think they're pretty gaudy looking anyway.

VT's class rings are unique to the class. each class designs their ring for that year.

I guess if you count the order of the engineer ring that I got, then I guess I do have one. I don't even know where that ring is actually.

I just don't see the occasion to wear one. As far as remember college, I've got my diploma and that cost WAY more than any college ring would.
 
I do not have one. I always thought, though, that if I went to graduate school for my doctorate I *may* get one.

Many Universities have a single standard official traditional class ring. Like Texas A&M and Texas Tech. I believe UT's is too.

I consider it neither gaudy or overly flashy, I just liked the simple design and thought the lion really made it stand out. All it shows is my major (IST) on one side and my graduation year on the other, and it looks awesome in 14k because it's not being carved with stupid, pointless designs and decorations all around it. I also don't go for the birthstone thing mostly because I never really liked my birthstone lol, but those massive rings with a huge gemstone in the middle just look ridiculous to me.
 
seeing that a university education costs 50k, not paying another k for a ring too large and tacky for me to wear...
