bleh.. i'm a 2nd semester student and i was wondering wtf i can do with this........ uhh anyone with a ccna could you post what you did with your ccna/what are you doing now/did you get your ccnp?

You dont have to bump after only 9 minutes.

Anyhow, I dont have a ccna, but I am considering studying for it. It wont get you a job, but it will help you get in the door. Just make sure you understand what you are doing.

Yes i do. I got a CCNA in the year 2000. I went through that Networking academy program in high school.

I am currently working for Aries Technologies.. umm well.. I was an intern before for Cisco Systems but I was lucky to get hired by my boss who is the CCNA/CCNP curriculum lead...

I was planning to get ccnp but no time since i am goin to college. Prolly pick it up during summer i think.

n0ckmonkey is right, it won't get you a job, but it will get you thru the door to an interview....

lotta companies nowadays are making sure those with any kind of certs actually have hands on experience to go with it...especially with certs that are only written with no hands on testing (ccna, mcse, etc)...

the company i'm with does want me to get certain certs, that way it'll boost bragging opportunities to clients when selling work....i don't have a ccna, actually i have no certs at all, but i use my experience to speak for me when representing in front of clients, upper management, interviews, etc...🙂
