Let's break it down by KG to be scientific. 60 lbs = 27.22 kilos.

2 kg cocaine, 25.22 left

3.4 kg's 22 LR rounds(2000), 21.82 left

Ruger 10/22 2.4 kg, 19.32 left.

50 troy ounces gold 1.56 kg, 17.76 kg left.

Seeds 1 kg( more than I can plant) 16.76 left

Tarp(2.5m x2.5m) 7 kg, 9.76 kg left.

1 gallon water 3.79 kg, 5.79 kg left.

Beef Jerky(3 lbs) 1.36 kg, 4.43 kg left

1 gallon water 3.79 kg, .64 kgs left.

.64 kg's M&M's.

Edit: Yay 2 gallons of water!

I mistaked this thread for the other for a sec, might as well post my response.

No. If I was ever in a situation where everyone in my area didn't have food/water to spare, you can bet your ass that nuclear apocalypse because of the aliens from Independence Day PLUS ZOMBIES has occurred. At which point I must say, "who gives a fuck. We're all gonna die anyway. And if I don't, then most of you will and I ain't stickin' around with no one to play with."

The North West is prime for a 9.0+ megaquake as I'm sure you know so there IS a good reason to have such a kit. Not that I have one.

Kind of. I keep some food in the car and basic med kit (not that I know how to use it, but i do know how to eat). Unfortunately keeping a lot of water in a vehicle is hard unless you want it taking up usable room. In the house I have a much better stash of non-perishables, enough to keep going for weeks, plus a decent bit of drinking water. If there was an event I'd start filling the tubs/sinks anyway (most people frankly wouldn't and it would be one of the first things to cross my mind). I'd probably not be first in line to become a zombie but more like second wave.

Do I have enough of the "essentials" to live 3 days without going to a store? Yes
Do I have it all gathered together in some kind of survival kit? No

i live within a 2 minute walking distance to the nearest 7-11.
if need be, i can survive on Slurpies and PopTarts

And I have a car that could take me out of the pacific northwest... and you can bet if that 9.0 megaquake hit, zombies will pour out of the ground.

Sure do. I lived in Florida for several decades so I'm used to having emergency supplies on hand. I don't live there now but continue to do so out of habit.

We have a kit in the house, one in each car and one at my office.

They get refreshed every couple years.

The only thing we don't have that I would eventually like to get are some firearms.

Otherwise, when it hits the fan, you want to be with me.

I ain't getting suckered into being your buttseches slave...nice try.

Ehh, I have about 6 or 7 gallons of mead and a decent supply of beer... Have a couple of boxes of ammo for my 357, and usually have a good supply of food in the pantry ... 3 days really doesn't take much ...

I have enough bottled water to last for about a month. I don't have as much food (probably a week's worth at best) but you can go longer without food than without water.

I've got about 500 rounds of 5.56x45 and a couple thousand .22lr so I should be good in the ammo department :awe:

That's barely enough to get the party started. 😉

I almost always have plenty of food and drink in the house to last a week. Thank god for Costco's giant packages. I have a portable butane stove and a portable charcoal grill to cook food.

In a worst case scenario, I also have access to a staggering amount of vehicles thanks to my job. Electricity, engine block eggs, or just mowing down zombies.

We have enough for a week w/ exception of milk. Easily can stretch to a month w/ exception then of fuel. Only 10 gallons fuel outside for generator.

Given that winter is on its way, we lay in a case of powdered milk just in case.
