Nah, I don't hate weddings. I tend to be working during them anyway, doing sound, and then sticking around afterwards to help clean up at receptions. It's just the way things work.

Now, the idea of HAVING my own wedding, having to plan, pay, manage, blegh. I will admit to having spent some time thinking about how to get out of that without completely affronting everybody that would otherwise be involved in the spectacle.

Wait til you have one of your own, then you'll really see the trouble they can cause. I'm convinced I'm going to elope...we'll save all the cash from a big reception and take a 3 week honeymoon in the Virgin Islands.
