Do you hate your job?

I love my job; I work for the state gov't doing something that has a positive impact in my community. 🙂

Normally I would be more productive, but this morning for some reason I am feeling lazy. My boss is running his normal 2-3 hours late and, he sent me an email last night saying dont touch anything until he gets here.
 
i like what i do. i can post on ATOT almost all the time while services are running in the background and i can account for those hours too 😉
 
work as a general rule sucks ass...
rather be doing pretty much anything but working..

I have not found anything that is considered work that I'd enjoy instead of doing what i want to do..

and the only reason I do it is so I can have money... pretty much the ONLY valid reason to work.
 
This is the first job I had out of college. Its pretty good but I think what I am coming to understand is that I don't like working for someone else. I came from science research where I had a lot of freedom and could decide for myself what would benefit the ultimate research goal. In my current job I have to listen to people and do what they say. Humbling, but also frustrating. A friend of mine that works for Cisco said that place would fit me well because they are very hands off...anyone else work there?
 
been here 5+ years... as for what I currently do - it could be better but I'm not complaining... working conditions are great.
