Do you hate people at your work?

Recently - it seems like my relationship with ALL the people at work is going downhill. It used to be all good like a year before. Used to get along great with a lot of the people.

All the people i did get along with have now left the place where I work - and have moved on to other jobs. We are talking like 13 people leaving in the course of 18 months. I feel that there is nobody at work that I get along with anymore, other than like 2 people.

They all have ego problems, will not accept that they are wrong, and are just being a$$holes and b1tche$ all the time.

Its not that the company is treating me bad. I have good pay, they are promoting me faster than usual, giving me managerial responsibilities. I was recently promoted so that I have 11 people under me. Most of these 11 are older than me - and I think they hate me because I am progresing faster than them and are probably just jealous. God I fvking hate the people that I work with.

I feel like quitting right now 🙁

There is only one around here who truly gets me to the point where I can honestly say I hate him. Passive-aggressive, know-it-all, paranoid, superior-acting greasy monkey. :|

Everyone else is all good though 🙂

Only person I can't get along with is good guy, its just I work directly with him and since he's no good, I work a LOT. Iono, feel kinda bad that they've been giving me the hints he's going to be fired and I'll be getting an assitant type person.

I actually get along with everyone...working at a small company with only 12 coworkers is sooooooooooooo much better than working at some huge corporation...

🙂

Relatively small workshop.
The only person I cant deal with is the immediate supervisor, and thats cuz he doesnt listen.
If I've got problems with anyone else we can always discuss it and have things fixed by the end of the day.

If you hate the people who work for you, you aren't going to be a very good manager. That's just the way it is - it will come through in your interactions with them unless you are a world-class actor.

The good thing is that you can be an effective manager. But you can't hate them. You don't have to love them either, though.

Are there things you want to change, or is everything running smoothly?

See things are running fine. Work is getting done on time etc. But the interactions are not pleasant - lots of ego and attitude problems.

theres very few people that i like. theres a bunch that i'm indifferent to, and there's a few that i can't stand.

i'm sure everyone has people like that at their work.

I hate my boss. I hate one of the technicians, but not because of things he does when I'm actually working with him, it's just that he has no respect for the rules set forth by joint agreement by our employer and my other organization - i.e. "Don't steal each other's stuff without permission" "Don't unplug each other's stuff" and "It's our sound system and our PC, don't you dare change the song". He doesn't like me, either, because I call him on his cockups, and I'm directly in line to take his job.
