Macs are good if you don't play videogames and just need a websurfing machine. Unfortunately I like to play lots of videogames so no maccage for me. :p

they are just too slow and the OS is crap, i would never buy one because it can't do anything (the mighty 450 mhz g4 processors...woot) and no games can play on them.

The slowest G4 was around 900MHz-1GHz. Mine is a Dual 1.25GHz. befor you mock something, make sure you know what you are talking about.

Anyways, I work on Macs for video editing and they are really good for that. But at the end of the day I can't wait to get home to my Windows computer!

sorry, i meant powerpc 3 processors. still, they have reached 5.8 ghz and atlon 64 fx-57 and they are still on 900 mhz g4 processors. i am using a 400mhz g3 now.

WTF are you on about? I can't see a single 5.8Ghz processor on any shelves near me.

i hate macs because: wow, no right click! why can't i cut or copy on a mac with the mouse? to rename something you must click get info and then rename it! these are the fe things out of many i can think of. (wow, look at all that RAM! i never thought i would see PC100 at 1 gb! omg thats slow RAM. holy moly 100mhz fsb, wow a 256kb l2 cache. 450 whopping mhz of powerpc speed! and not to mention they are so fvckin expensive. plus the awesome 16 mb rage 128 card. and on the imacs, they have the worst, blurriest crt screens i have ever seen.)

You are retarded. Buy a multi button mouse. I've noticed PC Zealots like yourself always try to make macs look bad by saying "omg do0d teh one buton muse suxorz. i canot even rigt clkc btu i am teh stuopid and not no multi buton mose worky!!11!"

Why are you comparing older Mac's to today's PC's? Did you not know they released faster Macs?

I cant stand the mouse either, I also think that a MAJOR flaw in the OS is the fact that when you click out side a window it suspends your program there IS NO FULL SCREEN MODE. I also find it annoying as balls to have to pull down a window in sifari just to get to the safari window behind it, and I cant alt tab to it (command tab) what ever.

Haha. You again.

I can't really help you with your single processor system, but I do have a few ideas to help you with your Mac experiences...

1) Macs can use any two click mouse, and in fact I'm using a 5-button Intellimouse Explorer as we speak. All 5 buttons are functional.
2) If you haven't upgraded to at least OSX 10.3, do so because...
3) Expose can move all your windows out of the screen area (F11) OR show up all at once and let you pick which one you want (F10). I have actually assigned the two side buttons of my mouse to do this for me.
4) Get more ram. Don't complain, it's not like you can't afford a gig. Despite what Apple says, the G5 will take any PC3200 Dual Channel memory stick. I'm using Mushkin ram that I got off of Newegg right now.

Being a person who works with digital video, you'd think you would know better than to complain about slowness when you're only working with 512mb of ram. Plus you can get a gig for like $80...

Don't love them, don't hate them. I don't care as long as my work gets done. Use both PC and Mac at work, at home my main is a PC plus a G3 tower that I use sometimes. Probably will get a miniMac if I ever get enough funds together.

That said, I administer a bunch of Macs so being able to use Apple Remote Desktop is excellent. Why can't Windows come up with something like that (remotely pushing out files, taking control of the computer without kicking off the current user, etc), without having to rely third party VNC programs.

I don't hate Macs at all. They're just computers, after all. Different computers each have their pros and their cons. I use my Macs for video and audio apps that I would never do on Windows. I use Windows for gaming, which I wouldn't do on my Mac. Amazing concept.
