Hippy is a meaningless buzzword. No true hippies have been around for a while. Active ones at least. Hipsters, hippies, beatniks, whatever... All generalized and meaningless today.

Go to a costume store and you'll find a hippy costume, complete with peace sign necklaces and white people afros with dark sunglasses. Don't forget Tiedye!! Real hippy uniform. Bellbottoms too. Does anyone dress like this outside of halloweeners? Did anyone dress like this period? I don't know. Before my time.

So inorder for me to decide on wether or not I hate hippies, first we need to examine what a hippie IS. Let's look into the history of what the frame of mind people who were labled "hippie". zzzzzzz......

No bellbottoms, but I've got a few tye-dye shirts and dark sunglasses. I drive a VW Beetle (sometimes) and I've got long hair, moustache and goatee. If it's warm enough out I wear sandals. Got pants with ripped knees and a smiling mushroom patch. I lost my badass hemp necklace with a teardrop shaped peace sign a few years back though.
