After a break from work, I like it better than I did. I don't hate going in /as much/, but it would be a stretch to say I enjoy it.

I like my job, I like the work I do and the people I work with.

I hate feeling like a prisoner once I'm there.

Not this morning. Got to ride this to work. 😀

Hell, I got deal with brake drums bigger than your motorcycle for the last few weeks! D::awe😀::awe:

And if history is any indication, I both love and hate my job. I always say that I would quit in a heartbeat if I could but I'm not 100% sure that I would quit forever, at least at this point.

I love my work! And my commute is a short 7 minutes by public transit, so the voyage ain't bad either.

I can't recall a day that I minded being at work, 16 years teaching, 30 years pizza.

I do. I'm an IT manager yet I manage no one and have to maintain way too much for too little pay and never get a "Hey, thanks!".

It's funny how people don't realize how easy it is to please most nerds...give us a pat on the back & make us feel appreciated. Sure, a bonus would be nice, but if you make me feel like I'm the man, that actually means quite a lot to me. Appreciative people always get priority service from me because I know they're grateful for what I do

Today my job was getting my kids up. Making them waffles and sausage. Gave them piano lessons and voice lessons before sending them to Chinese class. Now my real job starts and I have to sell things I miss "Working" with my kids.

as Highland mentioned my transformation into a soccer mom is almost complete ><

I turned down a consulting gig because I didnt want to be away from kids for two weeks.

I have started to hate traveling and going to the jobs more than the jobs themselves. I love working from the phone at home. Easy money!

I hate shlepping

I'm about to be there. Due date of our first is March 11!

And, yes, I hate going to work, but I like working. I can't stand working for someone else, being told how to do something or listening to people I don't care about cry about their problems or giving their unasked for opinions. D:

I used to hate my job (probably every job ever) until I realized that I had food allergies. Among other things, food allergies made me exhausted all the time...I didn't sleep well & I was constantly fatigued & didn't feel too great. So I'd wake up groggy, feel like there was an anchor on me all day long, and just didn't enjoy life very much.

Then I eliminated the foods I was allergic to and started feeling good all the time, and learned that you can tolerate an awful lot of BS when you feel good. When you don't feel good, even the best job is a pain in the neck. When you do feel good, even simple stuff like washing the dishes can be fun because you're full of energy & don't mind chores.

Most people stay up late, don't eat well, and rarely (if ever) exercise, and as a result, people generally feel kind of crummy all the time & thus kind of hate their jobs, because no one wants to work when they feel meh. But it's hard to change because it's a comfortable, familiar cycle to live in...no effort required. Stay up late & eat junk food to escape your day job, rinse, repeat.

Not really. Most days are pretty good and it's a fun environment to work in. Who wouldn't want to be surrounded by this all day when they're at work?

I hate having to wake up and go to work but when I get there, I'm happy. I frankly have little recollection of what it's like not to have to go to work.

I bet age and level of acceptance/happiness w/ going to work are correlated.

Does anyone here work for themselves or own a business?

Yes. I didn't for the first few years, but now I do at this environment. Dreading going back to work now that I've been on paternity leave and have to return in 2 weeks(I will have been gone for about a month).

Even with this hatred, though, I gotta admit that it's awesome to be paid like I'm working while getting some newborn shit stuck in my nails. The shit part's not awesome. The getting paid part is.

I literally hate my job so much that when I don't have to work, it ruins my days off because I only think about how many more hours until I have to work again. No joke.

I'm starting a business so I hope not to be doing this a year from now.

I want to wake up everyday and do whatever I want. Have no schedule and enough money to buy anything I want. And soon. Not when I'm 60. Drive the cars I want. Live in the neighborhood I want. Go anywhere in the world on a whim. Just leave for some exotic place at the last minute and not even tell anyone, just go and relax and not be rushed while on vacation trying to "see all the sights," because I know I can come back anytime I want as much as I want.

That'd be pretty awesome. Let me know when you figure it out..

I usually didn't mind working...but the fucking commute to/from was a nightmare most days. (drove about 100 miles each way into/out of the SF Bay area.)

I actually enjoyed what I did for work most days. Of course, iwhen they stopped paying me...I stopped going. 😛

Being retired has its benefits...but most of the time, the days all run together...

Not anymore!

I was so sick of dragging myself out of bed each and every morning for about 4 years, and I was tired of waking up every morning thinking that I would rather be dead than go to work, that I quit.

About 90% sure I'm going into teaching now -- love talking down to people, running my mouth, and training people. Very low-key person, so rather low pay and happy than miserable and rich.

Generally no, I actually like my job, it's really laid back, pays well, and has great hours. I get lot of time off because it's shift work. The more 12's I work the more time off I get, typically. I've had stretches of like 7 days where I'm off.
