From what I've read, I guessed you guys only watch Hollywood movies. I think you guys are missing out, really. There are a lot of good foreign movies out there. I don't want to offend anyone, but watching Hollywood movies is like watching recycled turd dripping from the screen during the entire screening and then subsequently flush down any intelligent thought that was wandering in your mind. Of course, there are some exception and I will have to admit that my favorite movie is an American movie, Capote to be more precise, but that doesn't mean most are junk food for the brain.

Old thread revived by spammer.

If you have 5 hrs. to go through the movie thread, you'll see plenty foreign movies reviewed.

Not mentioned yet The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movies and Let the Right One In.

Troll Troll Troll your boat, gently down the stream 🙂

Umm, I think most of us watch movies from all over the place.
If you read in the movie review threads, you'd see there are LOTS of people watching foreign films ... films by Akira Kurosawa, Takashi Miike, Chan Wook Park, Jean Pierre Jeunut, Frederico Felini, Jean Renoir, Ingmar Bergman, Sergei Eisenstein, Luis Male, Werner Herzog, and many many others ....

That said, when a good director is given enough latitude, hollywood can make some very good films. The problem is, there aren't very many good directors, and most of them aren't given much freedom.

How am I trolling?

You start a thread with a disguised insult, and you ask how your trolling?

If you want to troll, your going to have to do better then that. Post something like:

"from what I have seen here, most of yall lack the intelligence to watch anything besides hollywood movies"

And then you have that forever alone pic for an avatar,,,,, lol

13 assassins was good.

Solid movie. I loved the the last assassin they let down from the trap. Reminded me of Mugen from Samurai Champloo. 😀

Pan's Labrynth
The Lives of Others
Let the Right One In
Intacto
Oldboy
The Host
13 Tzameti

That's just a few off the top of my head. Big thumbs up for Oldboy, amazing film. Still need to watch Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.

There are a ton of English gangster films, but I wouldn't really classify them as foreign.
