Well quite possibly for me the largest project i'll have this year, unless neha suprises us with an earily visit.

Heres some teasers in the hardware im going to be watercooling.

Basically im asking if you guys want a full work in progress. I was going to make one for another forum, however it would be very possible to move it here day by day.

Well, i'll let you guys vote on it. If no one really cares, i'll just post the final pics. :T

I'm more than willing to help you with that. Feel free to send parts you may have lying around my way. :)

Definately. It really gives people a sense of A) what OTHERS do in their builds, and B) what they're getting themselves into.

For example, I'm the type that will work on a project non-stop until I run into the first major problem. Then, it might sit for a week while I moan and groan over what I can do to fix it. Sometimes the most interesting part isn't what the final project turns out to be, but what obsticles the creator had to overcome to get there.

Oh yeah, and I'm gonna come steal one of the gazillion motherboards I know you have hanging around. I have a processor and memory sitting around doing nothing, and no cash! :p

Now you know that this should be in general hardware or CPU's and overclocking....

You have to put the watercooling stuff in the thread before some jackass mod moves the thread ;)

Just copy andpaste the thread we know you're making for XS over here.

EDIT: dag nabbit! thats twice in two days, who do I have to petition to get some more emoticons on AT?

Well it is going into a case, so that alone qualifies it here :)

Haha, aigo got put in place on his own forum :D

He was obviously refering to aigo, because mark can't move threads in this particular forum ;)

Dang mods complicate everything! :)(Congrats Marc!, Aigo)
yes Aigo, I'd love to see what your putting together. Build threads are always good for those putting a new box together and looking for ideas, I've got a re-build going now that I should photograph, Just last night I answered a thread about mounting a rad and it's so much easier to explain yourself w/ detailed photos.
Can't wait to see what comes of your TEC / Chiller. I've been subscribed to the XS thread waiting patiently,,,,,,,,

Derwen, it was a pretty 'clever' joke, because aigo I think is the only mod in this forum. Of course there are seniod mods to. So if a mod moves it, it has to be aigo, and that makes him the jackass mod :p

QFT!

only things are:

if you look at my HD3870's those are EK nickle platted blocks.

So yes, its all watercooled. And as i said its a rebuild, so expect the RD-30 with a PA120.3, and all the dual loop goodness.

lol... i was looking at that board. But i didnt see the need to pay 100 more for just a higher bin chipset. Also i have a 780i hiding under my bed. :T

Actually I missed the water-cooling statement when I first posted, and I was thinking "general hardware".

I guess my little "jab" backfired ;)

Rofl mark that section is used to help pic parts, or talk about it. My parts on this build is set in stone. The only thing they could argue on my build was...

4 x 2gb partiots?
4 x 1gb Team Xtremes?
2 x 1gb Reapers?
2 x 1gb Tracers?

yeah those are my ram choices at the moment. Need to see how well the QX does. the Tracers will be for a max fsb. The Xtreme's to test 4 slot max fsb.

The patriots is the final set. This rig will have 8gb 4xraptor goodness in speed. :T

Betcha the 8gb ram is gonna make VIN cry. XD

Anyhow the Case its going into, i think your familar with my U2.

So 65nm vs. 90nm is what you call a higher bin? :p

Not to mention the option for 790i, you know your EVGA 780i is just begging to get sent back!

EDIT: They do step-up on motherboards too right?

I honestly didnt see the need for the X48. Reason is its going underwater so it wont matter about the die size.

The chips i heard are almost identical except a die shrinkage. The SB is still ICH9.

The X48 offered by DFI lists at 349.99 True its still in my budget, but id rather ditch the 100 on an Areca 1210 SATA Card.

Its true the X48 is a better board, but i didnt want to wait for its release. :T And also i love that X38. I own 2 of them.

Anyhow heres the stock Northbridge on that X38:

You guys see why i love this board so much?

well my link in my first posts shows the LT X48-T2R instock now for $299...

no, these X48s don't have the ICH10R, I don't even think DFI's flagship UT X48-T3R with a custom Thermalright heatpipe cooler has the ICH10R...

I was going to post that it probably wouldn't matter for you considering you'd most likely have it under water, but my posts are more of a tease :p

ahahahha... yes..

Well i already bought that board b4 the X48 had an offical release date.

But im not interested in buying another Board for a while. I told you guys, i have a 780i i need to do something with later on.

And most definitely yes, everything is going under water. I'll post up some pics of my cable sleeving jobs on my fans.

Quite right, my bad, early reports, even the one that has been subsequently pulled from AT dated Feb 28th had stated Ich10R but, DFI's official site now says 9R, I'll e-mail travis and see if he know what gives.
