i just moved to my new apt and swbell will take about 3 weeks to transfer my dsl acct. They suck!!!
anyway, now i'm stuck with dialup, and since i got only one line, my damn phone is always busy as me or my gf are always online. I don't want to pay swbell another cent for a second line, so i was loooking for those programs that answer your phone when you'r eonline...do those still exist???
if so, which one you guys use?
txs

Callwave is pretty popular, and I think it's stil alround. Probably contains spyware, so make sure to run AdAware to remove it

I use Callwave, and it works pretty well. The busy signal/call waiting feature only costs $.25 on my phone bill. It's also easy to hide the window if you put it in a corner of your screen at a high resolution, and then go back to the resolution you usually operate in. You don't have much control over the message that people hear, but I figure everyone that I actually want to talk to will figure it out. If not, I guess I gotta reevalute the friendship. heh.
