There are other fears as well. Biological warfare is a very big threat and much easier for these groups to initiate. However, these acts are purely to send a message to the US. I need to find the article that was in Maxim about a year ago.... They interviewed one of the leading advisors in the country about terrorism. This is only the beginning of what's to come.

Even if it were backed by a foreign government; our retaliation would not include large-scale troop involment. Unleashing hoardes of cruise missiles and big fat bombers are more likely.

if the u.s does strike against the taliban government, they would only have pakistan's response to contend with since
they are the only country in the world to confer official reognition on the taliban as legitimate holders of state. pakistan
ofcourse is too dependent on american largesse, even after the recent trade restrictions imposed on them after they
develope a nuclear bomb, to voice any strong opposition to american military assaults.

iran and saudi arabia hate the taliban. there are aren't any other great sympathizers in the arab or muslim world -
although that may change some if the u.s. resorts to military strikes. saddam only loves the taliban because they
shelter america's most wanted criminal; for he too fears their destabilizing influence on radical internal religious
elements. the u.s. might be able to rely on the northern alliance, if they ever coalesce, and could arm them
to strenghten their support and provide - possibly - a two or three front assault on the taliban strongholds
in the center and southeast sections of the country.

Bomb their gas, electric, telephone, television, boats, sewers, dams, railroads, airports, roads, bridges, technology, oil and anything that means anything to them. Burn them and any other nation that houses terrorists, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Libya....Do it all at once in one huge response swiftly and without mercy.
