Do you guys like using ID3 tags in your MP3's?

sort of like asking "do you believe in writing on burned CDs or leaving them blank?"

wellll Looks the other direction I have every single DVD and CD I burn blank (Don't ask my why, I just do) Sometime the woman steals my marker, most of the time I'm just lazy.

But yes I have to have ID3 Tags on mine

Don't need them since they're sorted by filename but my car CD player has CD-Text so I just keep a title/artist tag on them.

of course...tags are required these days. EAC (ripper software of choice) does a nice job pluggin in the tag info from freedb so I don't have to worry about it.

I like to name the files correctly and leave it at that

Or just do both.... especially easy with some programs out there.... can tag all the files by the file name.

you need em. unless you only have a few mp3s...

stuff like itunes let you navigate by that info. pull up genres, etc

Have to have them. Especially for most mp3 players. I can't imagine sorting though hundreds of songs on my iPod trying to find the ones I want by file name 😕
