Do you guys ever smell random household items?

Like I mean I always smell my blanket (the one I sleep with).

After it gets washed it smells like the fabric softner, but after a while there is a scent which I really like. I've asked my GF to smell it and she said it smells like "nothing." I guess that nothing smell is what I like lol.

My gf likes the smell of rubber.

Yeah. The binding glue in old ones (15+ years) smells good.
I also like the smell of diesel exhaust.
Dial liquid hand soap is good too.

This one time at band camp...

Oh wait, that's not it.

This one time many many years ago I was sitting around thinking about what different things smelled like. Well I could think of the smell of EVERYTHING, with the exception of one VERY common thing. Try as I might, I could NOT think of what this VERY VERY common everyday thing smelled like. Drove me CRAZY. So finally I took out my lighter, lit it, and took a big WHIFF. Just in case your mind ever wanders off unattended, and you start wondering what FIRE smells like, let me save you the trouble.

Fire smells exactly like burning nose hair....

There's nothing like waking up early in the morning, walking out to the machine shed, pressing a couple of buttons and turning a key, and watching (and smelling) as machinery all over the farm springs to life, and the chosen tractor throttles itself up to full power, throwing out diesel fumes like a factory smokestack.
