Do you guy/gal think Virginia Tech football team is overated?

A lot of my friends said my school football team is overated.

What do you guys think?

Currently ranked 7th in the nation.

ohio state should pass them up this week since they beat 11th ranked washignton quite considerably, and since Michigan lost and whoever pllayed penn state lost horribly

granted, they're not what they used to be-- still a good team though.

DUDE!! Its freaking MARSHAL!!


I used to live 30 minutes from Huntinton, WV and its SUCH a crappy hick town. Their team just moved up to Division 1 and I don't know what they are doing ranked at 16 but thats nothing to be proud of destroying Marshall.


Do you know remember Florida SLAUGHTERING them last year?





VT is # 7 (a little overated since they haven't played anyone of much substance)
OSU is #6 (HELL YEAH)

VT is generally overated. They play a bunch of nobodys and run up the score. If they played in the Big Ten or Big XII or SEC, they wouldn't be anywhere as highly ranked.

I was AMAZED at how many teams have dropped out. There were many bad predictions this year

Well Michigan did beat Washington at Washington, so that was a ranked battle. Of course, Washington may have been overrated as well. Michigan should have absolutely kicked the crap out of Notre Dame but they made costly mistakes which they don't do often, and were the victim of two HUGE cases of awful officiating (safety and 3-yard "TD" run that was actually a ND fumble).

2 years ago=??? end of year fallout? but that wasnt with tressel it was with losercooper who couldnt beat michigan if they came with 1 hand tied behind their backs!

They're not overrated this season, now last year they were at the start. But this year, we started at 16th and beat LSU (14th), then we beat Marshall (19th or something) and 3 top 10 teams dropped out this week (florida, neb, michigan). It's how rankings work...where do you want to them to go? stay in the 10th-25th? especially after beating two top 25 ranked teams? And we also play Texas A&M next saturday, and they're like 23rd...so I think we're not overrated THIS year.
