All of my friends are between 21-27. A lot of them somehow manage to go out almost every night of the week. Then again, most of them work part-time/retail jobs and don't really have "set" schedules.

Those of you with said "set schedules", do you still go out during the week? I simply cannot function only sleep for five to six hours, and my job requires me to be here at 8:30AM. To me it really isn't worth going out and having fun to feel tired and/or hungover the next day. Thats what the weekends are for.

I almost never go out (as in drink) during the week, but I'm usually up until at least midnight, and I get up at 6.

One guy I work with is out probably 3 work nights a week until bars close. I don't know how he does that.

No. I go to bed around 11 and wake up around 7. Even if I go out on the weekends I'm still usually in bed by midnight and up by 7.

I shoot for a bedtime of before 11 every night, and I usually make it. Almost never go to bed after 11:30.

I also have no desire to go out and drink/party late. I was at a party on Tuesday night and left at 10:40.

I find that by the time 11 rolls around, I am tired and ready for bed. Being on the computer keeps me artificially awake.

Being married helps a ton too. I used to have major issues getting to bed on time but it's a lot easier with someone else here to keep me on schedule. Used to stay up til 2 AM every night.

Not really, I will for special occasions and stuff but not on a regular basis. I have a hard enough time sleeping/getting up for work on time when I don't go out.

I'm asleep by 1:30-2 and up at 6 every week day for PT. That being said, I'm out often.

I'm up late neffing on ATOT just about every night...that's one of the plusses of not being able to sleep very well...but I don't work, so it doesn't impact my "daily schedule."

Nope. In bed before 10:00, up at 6:00. Need my beauty sleep. From the stares I get, it may not be working.

I go to bed around 11-12pm, up at 6:45.

I don't know if that is considered "late" to you.

He probably has a prescription for Adderall or Dexedrine. They're both amphetamines. Instead of making you awake and jittery like caffeine, they make you awake and normal as if you had slept properly.

people want paradise. they will have it.

For a month or so, my work schedule required me to be at work at 7 AM, which means I have to get up at 6. I tried to shoot for a 12:30 AM bedtime on those nights.

Now that my schedule is back to normal (9a-6p), I try to get to bed by 2 AM or so. I've always been a night person, so usually only get 5-6 hours of sleep.

I work weekends (Saturday/Sunday, 8 am - 6 pm)

it's not uncommon for me to go out with friends or on a date after work, though it always comes off as such a line when I say "sorry, I have to wake up at 6 am tomorrow..." on a Friday or Saturday night date.

I don't have a problem with it. Start work at 10AM. so even if I'm out till 2, i'm still looking at ~6.5 hours of sleep

EDIT: I'm a software engineer

I do it from time to time, but can get away with it because I work a later shift than most people.

Nah, it's not really doable anymore for me. I think when I turned 26, it just stopped being worth it. My hangovers are a lot worse now (29). Hell, even on weekends I don't really like being out too late anymore.

I do stay up late-ish. I get to sleep around midnight, sometimes 1, most nights and am up around 7 for work. My sleep cycle varies. Eventually I start to get too tired and go to bed around 9 or 10 for a while.

Stayed up drinking with one of my buddies that was visiting till around 4AM Tuesday morning, went to work that day. Thankfully, not one to get hangovers.

Nope, not even to the stores. I work from 7:30 to 6. That means getting up at 6am and home by 6:30pm. My job involves a lot of running around so I'm just too tired by the time I get home. Plus, I really do need a full 8hrs sleep to function.

Nope. Work at an ISP/phone company. My hours just get shifted around a bit once in a while.
