I give it out for work and people I work with give it out. I never answer the damn thing though. People who actually know me know that a text or email is the only way to make sure you get me.

here's the secret. when you meet a girl just ask her for her phone number asap. Most girls will either be too nice to say no so they'll give you their number. Or two they'll give you a fake number.

I am not sure.. I haven't been stalking people of sorts.. but I am just guessing since your phone number is tied to your personal information. People with some connections can just look it up I supposed.

Guessed I am just being overly paranoid though...

I rarely give my number to people. but if they find it more power to them. I pretty much always let calls go to voicemail.

As far as the information thing, it doesn't seem like much information can be obtained about a person from a cell phone number. Much less so than a regular landline number. For example, if you Google a cell phone number you'll be hard-pressed to find a person's name associated with it. It also usually lists the wrong city/town. You can't really get any usable info from a cell number without paying for it.
