Do you get to keep SBC email even after you cancel?

Hey guys,

Time Warner just moved over to the area, so I'm thinking about switching to Road Runner Cable for the increased bandwidth. I've had my SBC email (@sbcglobal.net) for a long time, so I was wondering if they let you keep it since it's a Yahoo powered account. Thanks in advance.

Register a Domain Name that you like and keep it forever, for about $10 a year. Then get some hosted POP mailboxes for $10 a year or so. That way, you can keep the same email addresses no matter where you move and no matter who your ISP is.

Well obviously if you are no longer paying them for service, they won't let you keep your email address unless they have some type of email only service that you pay like $5 or $10 monthly for. I agree with RebateMonger though, just register your own domain and get a hosting service, that way you basically own your email address. This has worked for me for about 7 years now. I control all facets of my domain and can give unlimited space email accounts to all of my family. It's also more "personal" as it's your domain.
