Do you get flexi-time?

It's awesome, i'm salaried on 7.5 a day, and anything i do over that gets me flexi-time, so that time is time i can take off further down the track.

I usually amass about 1/2h a day, so do the math in terms of time off 😉

Joo?

For every hour I work up to 50 hours, I get 1.5 hours off. So I amass 50 hours which gives me 75 hours off. After that, I am paid OT for the rest of the hours.
I can take almost two weeks off without touching my vacation. Right now I have about 450 hours of vacation saved but I just burned up almost all of my sick leave as I have been sick.

Yeah i've taken no annual leave so far, because i can amass it all as flexi...

We get 12 (or 15, i forget) sick a year (except it's 'personal' leave, so you can really take it off whenever), of which either 10 or 13 are accruable, 2 days being non-accruable...

I'm saving my sick leave for really being sick however, i have this moral problem with taking a 'sickie' for no honest reason 😱

well, they don't pay me to leave 🙁

Yes, but it's the opposite of what you describe. You can leave early, but have to make up the missing time on a weekend.

Well, i get 4 weeks paid leave (with 17.5% leave loading).

Either 12 or 15 ( i forget) days paid 'sick' leave, of which x-2 of those days accrue.

I don't get overtime, if that is what you are asking? I get 'time in lieu', so i can take it as leave when it adds up to a day, or half a day, etc...

Which i honestly prefer to overtime...😱

We call it comp time, and it's not guaranteed (for those that are salary....hourly employees don't get such a perk). In addition, if we have to take time off on a given day, if we work for 4 hours that day, we don't have to use the vacation time.

I get 23 days of vacation a year, and 1 more day a year every year, but it carries over each year. I've been there 6 years, and I have ~300 hours saved right now.

Flex time is a bit of a joke where I work. They offer it when they need you to work a Saturday or a Sunday, but give you hell when you try to take it during the week if things are busy.

I get 3 weeks of vacation and 8 sick days a year, along with 7 or 8 holidays. I come in when I want to, M-F (usually somewhere between 9am and 10am), and leave 9 hours later (8 if I skip lunch).

Yes. I'm paid to work 40 hours a week, but if I wanted to work 20 this week and 60 next week I could do that. It comes in pretty handy, and its a nice perk.

Yes, I can do one of two things:

1) Count my extra hours as flex-time so I can work less the rest of the week.
2) Count my extra hours as overtime (I'm salaried but get paid for overtime).

I don't think I quite follow:

In the U.S., non-exempt (eligible for overtime) must be paid for anything worked over 40 hours per week (or 8 hours per day where I live). It's unlawful to have a non-exempt employee work over those 40 hours but not pay overtime...

I *could* see how "comp" time can work in states where it is only 40 hours then overtime...say you hit that 40 hours in 4 days...they give you your 5th day off to avoid paying OT...that's fine.

Hmm....that doesn't make sense...if your an exempt employee, and assuming your salary...your employer really isn't supposed to be keeping track of your hours...if you show up for an hour it's the same as showing up for 8, or 9, or 10 according to the FLSA. For your employer to force you to take vacation time if you don't work at least four hours means your employer is effectively tracking your hours...that's fishy.

Are you salaried, exempt?
