Recent age tests:

1) Got carded buying Dragon Age at Best Buy. WTF. I asked the lady do I seriously look underage? She said maybe.

2) Got asked by an 18 year old if I was still in school ... I'm like seriously? How old do I look? - "um 21...."

And then when I'm out with people and get drinks, I NEVER get carded. What's up????

My sister is 5 years older than me and gets carded all the time. It really pissed her off when both of us were at the liquor store and they carded her but not me. 😛 Of course that might be because I have grey hair and she doesn't.

Dragon age

Hahahaha.

Actually for some reason where I live they never really bothered with checking age for video games. I bought lots of M rated games when I was 10-12 years old and nobody ever checked. I think they're more strict with that now.

Since turning 21, I'd guess that I'm only carded about 50% of the time buying alcohol. I don't even look that old... I think it's the beard...

When we were 16 and 17 and couldn't get someone's older brother to provide, I was the one delgated to go into the shady bars in bad neighborhoods where I stood the best chance of not getting carded because I looked the oldest of us, maybe because even then I had a wicked 5 o'clock shadow.

Those were simpler times, to be sure, and I even managed to talk a couple of barkeeps to serve me even after they demanded ID and I said I didn't have my wallet with me. It wouldn't go down that way today, to be sure.

I get carded for alcohol probably 80% of the time, I'd say. I'm only 22 but I usually have a fair amount of facial scruff.

That brings back memories. I used to drink at a local TGIF and one night I was there celebrating my 21st. The bartenders were giving each other the "oh shit" look because they had been serving me for so long.

Maybe 50% of the time. Some restaurants/bars just have the automatic carding policy, it seems that if it's more discretionary I rarely get carded.
