where's the options for disc only?

I currently have 1 disc out at a time. thinking of either dropping to the 1/2 disc a month thing or just dropping altogether. The reason? Unless it's a movie I am excited to see, then it sits on my coffee table for weeks or months before I watch it.

how's streaming only these days? last time I had streaming it sucked. not much selection back then.

My wife pays for Netflix with one disk, but she Has not returned the last disk she checked out in the last 6 months.

some of the netflix originals are pretty good, and there is a good stand up selection and decent selection of tv shows. there are some other gems in there if you dont require the newest thing to watch. i get my $8 a month out of the streaming. i still expect to get blu ray back later though, more new stuff and i appreciate the quality more for some things.

Your poll is faulty, it lacks a "disc only" option.

Blu Ray is still far, far superior in quality to streaming, and if you have a decent home theater system, you're doing yourself a disservice by polluting it with streamed garbage.

I used to be 3 discs + blu-ray, but over the last year or two streaming only. I would have been tempted to keep the disc service if I could actually get whatever I had in top of my queue, but it seemed like I never got anything in the top 10. Before I cancelled I cleared out the queue and only had like 3 movies there, and I didnt get anything for a month.

bah that sucks. Never had that kinda problem with blockbuster

I have had a Blu-ray plan with them since 2006. I just recently added streaming as they are one of the very few places with some 4k content.

Changed to instant only when they split the price up. Don't regret it. Have plenty of tv eps to watch too.

I have enough to watch on regular TV as it is, plus i have Amazon prime too so not sure Netflix streaming is worth it to me right now.

Two streaming users in the house, but we also have a legacy $5.99/mo account that is one physical movie at a time, so far Cowboys and Aliens has been sitting by the TV for six months.

Canceled after I had a disk for about a year.... figured I didnt use the disk... lol I never did watch that movie either... 🙂

Haha, that's the movie I have checked out from them right now! That's why I opt for disc/Blu-Ray in addition to streaming; there's tons of good movies like Cowboys and Aliens that are not available for streaming.

I had discs + instant when it was an extra dollar. Then they effectively doubled the price so I promptly dropped discs.

One Blu Ray disk plus streaming. There is still a ton of content that gets released on Blu Ray first. Stuff like HBO shows will probably NEVER end up on Netflix streaming.

My wife has Amazon Prime, too.

2 discs plus streaming.

I would do steaming only, but I spent a lot of money a nice TV and sound system. Streaming can't yet come anywhere near the quality of a Blu-ray.

Nope, sure doesn't...but it's SO convenient! And I say this with Definitive BP3000TL's in the living room (the benefits of roommates with good taste, lmao). 😛

i do not miss commercials. i mostly hate them. i got cable for 2 months to watch the nhl playoffs and thats the only time i watch cable, ill cut it off at the end of next week.

that does suck, but i still prefer that over cable tv and commercials. we usually watch at least 3 movies on blu ray a month.

i do not have a theater system, ill get a sound bar eventually, but i do have a decent 47" lg tv and i like watching documentaries and other blu rays sort of regularly. its definitely noticeably better than streaming.

I could cancel my satellite and it would still take months to get through everything in my streaming queue. Heck, I just started watching Supernatural and that's over 200 hours right there.

We are on 1.7 years without cable, so that's about how long you have before it's all worn out.

Admittedly I could re-watch something like X-Files that is available. I wish they'd get something exclusive like E.R. though.
