I wonder if people still get discs delivered by Netflix. I'm on the 2-discs-at-a-time plan + instant. What's your plan?

Lots of poles today!

I feel useful.

No discs since the separation with streaming.

My wife uses it, I only watch illegal streams.

If it were more reasonable, I probably would. They still throttle people if they return them too fast?

The Instant streaming is getting a little thin. Wish their churn was better.

I haven't noticed any throttling. I only watch 2/week though.

Haven't rented a disk through the mail since Blockbuster went tits up. Redbox kiosk + Netflix streaming for me.

For those unaware, new releases are usually only available on Bluray. The quality of instant streaming is also noticeably inferior in larger screens. That's why I still get the discs.

No option for discs only?

I didn't know that was an option on Netflix.

cancelled it a few years ago.

I liked the physical disks back when I worked weekends and it was just me in the office sitting around waiting for the phone to ring most days; Netflix was blocked on the network and watching DVD's helped pass the time.

I just cancelled mine again. I keep running out of new releases I actually want to watch so I cancel for a few months and then fire it back up for a month or two.

I dumped them when they had a major change in business model and faced the exodus, never joined back full time. Every year join for a month to catch up with the house of cards.

IMO there's nothing like experiencing the DTS-MA track in its original form on a nice home theater setup. I love the convenience of the streaming services, and the audio quality has come a long way, but I think if you've put some effort and money into perfecting your home theater setup it's definitely worthwhile to maintain the full quality of the audio track. For me, the audio fidelity when watching a movie has the biggest impact on the level of immersion.

Hell yes.

I have never arrrred a video, and streaming services have inferior quality and selection compared to discs.

I used to, then went streaming for a while, but for the past year or so I've been getting one disc a month in the mail. The mail library is just so much better. I watch a lot of movies and docs and I was kinda getting tired of the streaming choices.

I could cancel my satellite and it would still take months to get through everything in my streaming queue. Heck, I just started watching Supernatural and that's over 200 hours right there.

i had 1 blu ray at a time until last month. the gf has started a new job and is crazy busy. once things level out for her in a few months ill probably get back on that plan. we watch a decent amount of streaming and were watching 3 or 4 blu rays a month from netflix.

Just streaming. We used to do the disk option too but dropped it. The disk selection does put the streaming selection to shame.
