I abhor having to go to the damned bank. Direct Deposit here and damned grateful. When I get a check from someone or I have to hit the ATM,

Live check because my company somehow cannot deposit from their Wells Fargo account to my Washington Mutual account.

doesn't matter if you use different banks. ACH is standard and almost all banks support it

Direct Deposit fo' sho! :)

I like having my money available now on payday, not 24 hours from now.

My Direct Deposit goes in night of the business day before payday (get paid on the 15th and 30th, so the 15 is a Monday, my DD is in my account around 7 pm of the Friday before)...

I use DD. My DD is sweet though, We get paid on Thursday and if I call the bank at 12:01 A.M. the money is in there. So sweet.

I also get a stub in the mail ussually on Saturday.

Unfortunately, a paper check. It's a small company, so I guess there's no real point in setting up direct deposit. S'okay, though; the bank is less than a minute from the office.

I prefer the live check and always have, even though my employers offer direct deposit. In fact, I got paid this morning and took my check up to my bank a few blocks away at lunch. No biggie. Part of this, I think, is because I get paid heavily on a bonus/commission structure, so my every check is different. IMO a live check makes it easier for me disburse the monies to my accounts as I see fit, whereas direct deposit is not that flexible.
Oh, and the funds are available immediately upon deposit. No waiting. None of you ever heard of Check 21?
