Do you get a good feeling when a topic you started gets many replies?

let me tell you how to get a lot of replies at Anandtech if it matters to you: post something asking them to briefly talk about themselves or what they have. everybody will post completely oblivious to what everybody else is writing because people's favorite topic is themselves. note how even the most pointless threads like "what refresh rate do you run" or "what speed processor do you have" get masses of responses and NOBODY reads what anybody else has written LOL. so why do they waste a minute of their life replying?? purely self-absorption.
it's a little bit nice to get plenty of replies but it's also good to take a thread over in true troll style. I am not like what I am in real life here so you could say that is an insulator but sometimes it is excrutiating how some people take me seriously!

While it is not a monumental thing it is nice to know that I am posting something that someone finds intrest in. But then again just because 5 people post replies doesn't mean that 200 didn't read it but just choose not to reply. Because I do that very often, I read most posts but only reply when I have something to add to the conversation.

If it's something I put my heart into it or thought it would be really funny, and it gets shot down, then I get sad....

Oddly enough, most of my nef threads are the ones that get the most replies, if that says anything.

A lot of replies do make me feel good.

I've had threads with a lot of responses and some with only a few. Depends on the topic and a lot of other things. I dont start cleaning my gun or aything.
