I floss only when a piece of food is stuck in between the teeth. My gums always bleed when I floss and when my dentist flosses my teeth. Oh wells, ive gotten the lecture so many times now.

I brush in the morning and then floss and rinse with crest mouthwash at night. I use a Reach to floss with and can be done in under a minute. The biggest benefit from flossing though is getting the space where the teeth touch clean. That is where bacteria hides and causes caveties.
