Do you find eHow useful at all?

It often comes up on google but I find really with 100% consistency that the articles are useless. Lacking in pictures, and very high level. For example an article on how to change a transmission would be useless like:

1) Turn off car
2) Jack up car
3) Remove bolts
4) Replace tranny
5) Done!

ehow is worthless

expertvillage / ehow videos on youtube are terrible - they're like a minute long and don't tell you anything.

are people actually paid for those solutions and videos?

yahoo answers are a tiny step above since people can sometimes put up complete answers

???.about.com can be pretty bad

They are an advertiser, not a How To site.
They are just like most "How To" sites; they only care about ad revenue.

If you want tranny help, check out Autozone.com. They have step by step walk-throughs for most parts they sell.

I'm sure there's some good articles there, but I agree with the OP for the remaining 99% of the site: it's trash.

Sometimes ehow can be a starting place for hard to find information, but is useless for an ultimate solution due to the lack of details and outdated articles.
