Do you feel weird asking for references from professors you don't really know?

I graduated undergrad in 2000 and need to get some references from undergrad professors for a program I am applying to as my graduate school work isn't really relevant..but some of these classes were taken back in 1997,98,99. I doubt they even remember me, might not even remember the class. I got an A in all the classes I took with the professors in question, but I have no idea what kind of reference they can give someone they don't even really know.

Oh well, back to letter writing.

It never really bothered me much cuz I always figured they were always being bothered with the same thing from other students. They're use to the BS so they'll know how to BS letters of rec.

I guess you are correct. It might all be my natural dislike for asking anyone for anything.

Then why ask for advice?
