I am thinking while sitting at home on this slow-moving Saturday; do you feel safe venturing out into public nowadays, or attending public events?
With some of the recent news and violent/mindless acts taking place at public events, I can say that I don't really know if I feel safe...well...at least as safe as I would like to feel.
The Boston Bombing, Mother's Day Parade Shooting, vicious and merciless stabbing in Detroit last week kinda has me wondering before going out -- "will some lunatic nutbag try to make history at my expense today?"
Personally, I've never been one to go out and do to much publicly anyway, but I do so at lot more since moving to the suburbs and away for the inner city...and I have seen a decrease in emergency vehicles, shootings, fires etc, since moving out of the inner city.
I would love to take my family out and enjoy a care-free day from time to time, but it seems as if that's becoming more and more of an illusion.
Thoughts?
