Housing is cheap in some places. My brother just bought his first house (duplex) 1/2 of 400K for not that much.

My 20's list
bought a car
bought some stereo stuff
nearly finished my undergrad degree in 3.5 years

heh, I'm only 21 though. :)

Ugh Florida weather, tourists and old people. I love the Pacific NorthWest but Portland is becoming more and more expensive.

/me wonders how the housing market is up in Kent, WA?

:D

Exactly 29 more days till I hit the big 2-0. I'm not extremely proud of what I've done in life so far but don't feel like I've pissed it away. (Well I sorta pissed away high school) I pissed away the past 2 years of college (socially anyway) but I'm determined to change that

I feel I have. I'm 25 and I'm still 10 classes away from getting my BS. That's about it. All I have really done is work a lot. Ooh, what fun. While my friends whose parents could afford to send them to a four year school out of high school have graduated, studied abroad, got great jobs, etc.

But, it could be worse, I could be like one of my other friends, 25 married for 5 years with a 5 year old and 3 year old, and over $100,000 in debt ($40,000 of that credit card debt). Every day I'm glad I'm not him.

Yeah I would hate to be him also, he's way to young to have that much on his shoulders.

I'm 29, and I feel quite happy with how I spent my twenties. I have taken time for school, extensive travel, getting married, as well as having worked hard on personal growth :)

~$14K on a car
~$8 in wife's school loans
balance is CC.

I'll be 28 in a few months, and I would say my past 8 years have been fruitful.

Obtained my BS in CSE
Purchased first car in my name (240SX)
Moved to Silicon Valley
Hired by Intel
Married
Purchased second car (Maxima SE)
Moved to AZ
Bought first house ($206,000)

Still have 2 years left, and we are planning for a child in that time frame.

I know a guy who's 23 now. He never went to college and has worked at Blockbuster for 2+ years. And he still hangs out with me and my friends (18 and 19 year olds), smokes like a chimney (and not tobacco), and goes to the clubs almost every night. He got grounded by his parents for his 21st birthday. This guy has everyone I know beat in the category of "wasting your life". Personally, I'm not really taking advantage of university - I should open up a little more...

Being that I'm only 22 or so, but yeah, all of my college years were a complete waste and showing of nonaccomplishment.
