Do you factor ISPs into your renting decisions?

I'm currently looking for a place to live in Littleton, CO and I spent all day touring places with a rental agent and narrowed down my decision to two different places. One of them has a a more desirable location (IMO), but has one of those apartment complex shared connections that is capped at 512kbps/256kbps. The other place doesn't have an agreement with any such company so I could get cable/dsl from anyone. I'm seriously considering not going with the place with a better location strictly because of the internet connection. Do I need help?

You need help.

Unless you will spend all your time requiring high bandwidth for income generation purposes, take the better place.

You can't get cable or dsl on your own in the better place?

I'd let the ISP be a tie-breaker, but I wouldn't exactly base my entire decision on it (although it is something I research right off the bat when I'm looking for an apartment/house).

yes, i had a really sh!tty ISP in one apartment, internet didn't work at all, basically. cost $200 to switch

im not in the market but when i am if all things are equal, i mean quality of place, price ect and 1 has a high speed connection >1.5k/s down and teh other doesnt ill be going with the >1.5 down

ive had broadband for almost 6 years im spoiled

if DSL wasnt offered in this town.
i wouldnt have moved here.
im completely serious.

so yes. i factored ISP/broadband in my decision.

Since one of the place has an exclusive contract with some other company, no other ISPs can touch it.
