I think it is funny how people scoff at facebook. It reminds me of when I was in middle school and if you knew your way around the internet you looked like a nerd. Now if you don't know you're way around the internet it looks as bad as being illiterate. Funny how things change, and how they stay the same now that another new tool is being looked down upon simply because it is new, and strange.

Facebook is useful, and it is clean unlike the garbage you get on MySpace (which you can go ahead and scoff at all you want). I refused to use it for the longest time because MySpace ruined the image of social networking sites. However, as someone who has lived in various places around the world and has multiple sets of very close friends in those places, it is simply a great tool to keep in touch.
